our
start on September 22, 2007 to the present, we’ve showcased Mark in
many
different ways, including Mark Wallpapers, Screensavers, Audio Video
Clips from Titanic, The Langoliers, Swamp
Thing,
Beethoven’s 4th, Murder She Wrote with
more to come, as
well as
photo galleries of Mark in Swamp Thing,
The Langoliers, Titanic, Beethoven’s 4th,
Trapped: Buried
Alive,
Nash Bridges, JAG, Murder She Wrote, Charmed, Walker Texas Ranger, Silk
Hope,
Silk Stalkings, Renegade and more to come….
The
year 2008
brought us many new and exciting things to celebrate with Mark fans. January 2008 brought the
release of Swamp Thing: The Series
on DVD and then the
release of Swamp Thing The Series Volume
2 in July 2008. March
2008 brought
the theatrical release of Chapter 27
with a July 2008 rental release date in Blockbuster Video Stores.
In 2008
we implemented several new features outside the fan site to promote
Mark. We
launched the new Fans of MLC Myspace and Facebook Pages in February,
2008 and the
Fans of MLC You Tube Page in April, 2008. We also created photo
galleries of
Mark outside the fan site at Photobucket, Bravenet, Flickr and My Photo
Album.
In late
March 2008, our own Arcania got the chance of a lifetime when she met
and had
her photo taken with Mark. Alas, as for myself (Antonia), I couldn’t be
there
to have my photo with Arcania and Mark, but I’m photos manager so I’m
constantly buried in Mark photos (what a way to go!) Do I like my job –
now
what do ya’ll think!!
On April
1, 2008 we received the biggest and best gift of them all – the
official
endorsement and acknowledgement from Mark Lindsay Chapman himself. Mark
graciously provided us with wonderful publicity photos as well as
publicity
photos from Swamp Thing and Titanic.
In June
2008 we posted the first MLC Calendar with photos of Mark from his
various film
and TV roles gracing a new calendar page every month. The calendars
will
continue throughout 2008 and into 2009 too!
The year
2008 has been so good to Mark in terms of fan participation. To
reiterate,
Mark’s fans are the best. Mark fans have graciously shared so much with
us. MLC
fan Erin Kelly shared articles about Mark and photos she had taken from
The Langoliers on Photobucket.
Erin also
shared an article/interview with Mark
in his
role in Bram Stoker’s The Mummy from
Fangoria Magazine. MLC fan Alex Arcane
has so graciously shared his magnificent drawings of Dr. Arcane with
us. MLC
fan Ariana has been our best pal in her support of Mark on the MLC Imdb
discussion board and the MLC Myspace Page. Erin and Alex have also
added to
this page. In September, we were so pleased with the fan response we
received
in helping us to celebrate Mark’s birthday. We received many Happy
Birthday
wishes, drawings and graphics going out to Mark; we thank each and
everyone and
more importantly, Mark thanks you too!
We’ve had
a lot of fun and enjoyed every minute of putting together new and
different features
and ideas that we hope are entertaining and pleasing to MLC fans and we
have
many more ideas waiting to be implemented. We invite fans to give us
their
suggestions about what they would like to see us do. Please email us

In
closing, most of all, we want to thank the true inspiration for all of

Mark Lindsay Chapman. We have enjoyed doing what we can to
honor,
celebrate and
pay tribute to the man we believe to be one of the best of the best in
the
acting profession. Thanks, Mark, you really are the best! We
plan
to continue doing the best we can to
promote and pay tribute to Mark. See you all same time next year!
